Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 : Welcome to God's own Country | Cochin To Munnar.

Welcome to God’s Own Country – Kerala! Upon arrival at Cochin Airport, begin your journey through the picturesque roads leading to the beautiful hill station of Munnar. En route, soak in the breathtaking views of lush green tea plantations, serene rivulets, charming colonial bungalows, and gushing waterfalls, all set against the backdrop of Munnar’s pleasant climate. On the way, stop by to explore aromatic spice plantations, and admire the natural beauty of Valara and Cheeyappara Waterfalls. Upon reaching Munnar, check in at your hotel and unwind. Wrap up your day with a peaceful night’s rest, preparing for the adventures ahead. 

Day 2 : Sightseeing In Munnar | Spotting Nilgiri Tahr.

After enjoying a delicious morning breakfast, head out from the hotel by 9:00 AM for a full-day sightseeing tour of Munnar. Begin your day by visiting scenic spots like Photo Point, the serene Mattupetty Dam and Lake, the echoing beauty of Echo Point, tranquil Kundala Lake, and the lush Sevenmallay Tea Estate or the insightful Tata Tea Museum. In the afternoon, explore the majestic Eravikulam National Park, Kerala’s largest wildlife sanctuary, home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr and known for its soft trekking trails and natural charm. After a fulfilling day of exploration, return to the hotel and relax. Enjoy a peaceful overnight stay, marking the end of another beautiful day in Munnar. 

Day 3 : Munnar to Alleppey | Exploring Backwaters Capital.

After a hearty breakfast at 8:00 AM, begin your journey to the beautiful backwater village of Alleppey, nestled on the banks of Vembanad Lake. Upon arrival, check into a traditional houseboat (check-in strictly before 12 PM) and settle in for a unique and tranquil experience. As you cruise through the serene lakes, palm-lined canals, lush paddy fields, and charming villages, enjoy a delicious Kerala-style lunch served on board. Spend your time relaxing amidst nature, with opportunities for bird watching, light fishing (if permitted), or simply soaking in the peaceful surroundings. A memorable overnight stay on the houseboat brings your fourth day to a calming and scenic close. 

Day 4 : Alleppey to Varkala | Visit to Jatayu earth centre.

After breakfast at 8:30 AM, embark on a scenic drive to the coastal gem of Varkala, with an exciting stopover at the Jatayu Earth's Center. Experience a mix of adventure and mythology as you take a thrilling ropeway ride (at your own expense) to the top of the park, where the world’s largest bird sculpture awaits, telling the legendary tale of the Ramayana amidst natural beauty. Continue your journey to Varkala, known for its breathtaking Cliff Beach, vibrant sunsets, and laid-back café culture. Spend your evening flea market shopping, enjoying a leisurely stroll along the cliffs, and savoring a delicious dinner by the sea. By 7:30 PM, check into your hotel and unwind after a day full of adventure and exploration. 

Day 5 : Varkala to Trivandrum (with Padmanabha Temple)/Cochin & Goodbyes.

Start your morning at 8:00 AM with a delightful breakfast and check out of your hotel. If you missed it earlier, take some time to relax on Varkala's main beach, famous for its golden sands and stunning cliff views. Continue your morning with a visit to the historic Janardanaswamy Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, offering a peaceful spiritual experience. For those with a Kochi drop, the journey will continue towards Kochi (approximately 5 hours) after the temple visit. Alternatively, if you're heading to Trivandrum, the itinerary includes a visit to the magnificent Padmanabhaswamy Temple (based on temple timings) before departure. Conclude your incredible Kerala sojourn with warm memories and a heartfelt farewell.

Things to know/Terms and Conditions

1. Vm Holidays may alter the itinerary due to factors beyond control, such as natural disasters, weather conditions, or road closures.
2. Please provide your flight details to the operator before your travel date.
3. Heavy rainfall is common from June to September, leading to potential itinerary changes. If roads are blocked due to landslides or other calamities, alternative sightseeing will be arranged. Customers must bear the cost of alternative accommodations as per the hotels' cancellation policies.
4. All 3 Meals are included on the houseboat.
5. If any sightseeing cannot be completed due to time constraints, traffic jam, natural calamity, travelers starting late, permits issued late or any other reason beyond control, Vm Holidays is not liable for refunds or discounts.
6. Airfare, train fare, and bus fare are not part of the package.
7. Maintain eco-friendliness during the tour and avoid littering.
8. Valid identification is required during booking and upon arrival, > > > except PAN card is not considered valid address proof.
9. Personal expenses are not covered in the package.
10. Rescheduling Policy: a) Private (Standard & Deluxe Package) & Group Bookings:
11. Rescheduling within 7 days after booking until 15 days before travel incurs a 30.0% rescheduling fee.
12. Rescheduling 0 to 15 days before travel incurs a 100.0% cancellation fee.
13. No rescheduling or modifications allowed for bookings made within 15 days of travel.
14. Private (Super Deluxe) & Hotel Specific Bookings: No modifications or rescheduling allowed. Standard cancellation policy applies.
15. In cases of force majeure events, Vm holidays reserves the right to reschedule tours or offer alternative itineraries for the safety of clients and staff.
16. Cancellation after rescheduling: Clients who cancel after rescheduling will be subject to the standard cancellation policy, with rescheduling fees being non-refundable.
